Greybeard is currently working with Canon Europe, assisting with their TriCan project, implementing Oracle applications 11i throughout Europe. This ambitious project will come to fruition late 2004. Specifically, Greybeard are part of the Supply Chain Team, working on the business systems design, and involved with Order Management, Purchasing and Planning solutions. The work involves analysis and design of pan european solutions, to support Canon national sales offices, in numerous countries across Europe, from Scandinavia to Italy, and Spain to Autria/Easter Europe. Currently the largest European Oracle Project.

James Walker Limited, Cockermouth, Cumbria. Manufacturers of high tech rubber seals, for numerous applications, from ejector seats and powerstations to the humble tap washer.
James Walker engaged Greybeard Consulting to review its Oracle Manufacturing systems, and suggest ways and methods in which it could enhance its use. Although initial work targeted the planning systems, it became apparent that there were benefits to be achieved through changes to working practice, and the way in which the Oracle system was used to manage the production process, inventory management, manufacturing costing and quality reporting. During a six month period, Greybeard helped James Walker to identify where changes could be introduced, proposed new business processes for production, helped plan and implement a new costing system, and encouraged the introduction of 'lean' thinking and methods.

SGB Youngman, Maldon, Essex. Manufacturers of aluminium and wooden ladders and scaffolding systems. Greybeard Consulting were engaged by SGB to review the companies manufacturing systems, with particular emphasis on improving planning, costing and purchasing processes. Greybeard were able to identify and recommend improvements in all these areas, and develop an action plan for implementing change. In addition, SGB staff received additional training and education to enable them to fully utilise and exploit the Oracle systems in place.

Jarvis PLC, BMT 'Business Management Transformation' project. Jarvis are well know as a very large construction and rail maintenance company, but they also have a pressence in the highways and road services business. The Jarvis project was a root and branch reform of business systems throughout the company. Greybeard Consulting assisted with the implementation of the Oracle release 11 Manufacturing software at a number of Jarvis sites within the highways business, specifically, Jarvis companies manufacturing road marking and safety products, and also high tech matrix information signs for UK motorways.

Reuters PLC, RLS 'Reuters Logistics System' Y2K project. The Reuters project involved extensive modifications to the Oracle sales order processing software to provide bespoke functionality relating to scheduling, allocation and despatch of new and used inventory.
